Stark Mountain Foundation

Donations to the Stark Mountain Foundation, fiscal sponsor for the Preserve Our Paradise Campaign, are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Since its inception in 2000, The Stark Mountain Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, has worked to preserve the unique and historic environment of General Stark Mountain.

Vermont Community Foundation

One of the goals of the Preserve Our Paradise campaign is to create an endowment to provide long-term support to the Mad River Glen Cooperative in its efforts to maintain a traditional, natural skiing experience on General Stark Mountain. The Stark Mountain Foundation has chosen the Vermont Community Foundation (VCF) to manage the Cooperative’s endowment. VCF was founded in 1986 as a permanent source of support for the state’s nonprofits, and currently manages over $190 million in assets, representing 660 funds benefiting a wide variety of Vermont organizations. VCF adheres to the highest ethical and professional standards and will provide a safe and well-managed haven for Mad River’s endowment funds.
