endowment

Founded in late 2015, the Paradise Fund has been funded with $250,000 in generous donations earmarked for the endowment by anonymous donors. With strong capital appreciation, the fund has grown to over $325,000 as of summer 2019. Building an endowment is a wonderful way to provide Mad River Glen with a perpetual source of income to support preservation on an ongoing basis, even during poor snow/low revenue years. Income from the endowment can be used for eligible capital projects and expenses that are in keeping with the nonprofit mission of the Stark Mountain Foundation.

The endowment is managed by Vermont Community Foundation, which oversees hundreds of funds for Vermont nonprofits.
